Covid-19 Clent Information

COVID-19 Client Information

Whilst the chances of contracting a virus like COVID-19 on an activity like ours is extremely low in normal circumstances, by its outdoor and distanced nature, there is always a risk, and you participate knowing this. We have set out some steps in place to reduce the possibility of virus transmission further.

It is worth being aware if you are from outside Scotland, the government guidance on COVID-19 is directed by the Scottish Government, not Westminister, therefore the government advice in Scotland may differ than that of other UK nations, and where divergences occur the Scottish government guidelines are to be used.

Before booking

  • Check the official Scottish government coronavirus guidance here.
  • Check any accommodation and transport logistics for your trip are operational, with change in transport services and some accommodation providers ceasing trading due to the difficulties encountered, don't expect business as usual.

Before your activity

  • If you of anyone in your household are experiencing any symptoms of the COVID-19 virus, we must ask you to not attend as planned, please give us a call if you think that this may affect you and we can try and work out alternative dates in the future.
  • With an ever changing situation as the pandemic evolves it is best to plan for a lack of public toilet access where you otherwise would expect it.
  • Whilst we would normally encourage shopping locally to spread the economic benefits to the local areas in which we operate, it is worth being mindful of the current up to date government guidance to ensure economic benefit is the only thing that spreads, if in doubt stock up on hand sanitiser, trail snacks and lunch before setting off.

During Your activity

  • Adhere to any physical distancing/PPE wearing requirements as per the current government guidance.
  • Carry a small bottle of hand sanitiser for personal use, as we would recommend for lunch and toilet stops anyway.
  • We require you to have a buff or have some other face covering handy, to reduce risk in the event of enforced proximity e.g. a tricky bit of ground the guide may need to offer support or a first aid situation.
  • Follow any instructions around this issue from your guide,as they are simply trying to keep you and everyone else including themselves safe.
  • Avoid sharing of kit outside your own party.

After the Activity

  • Any kit borrowed or used on any activity will be returned to the guide, who will instruct if any addition handling is required.
  • We will endeavour to get in touch with all clients, post activity for some feedback, but also to check in on you health wise. If you develop any COVID-19 symptoms shortly after your attendance on our activities please let us know so we can inform anyone you may have had contact with, and the authorities if appropriate, that a potential transmission may have taken place.

No quibble Cancellations

Should government directives such as lock down restrictions force us to cancel any courses, we will of course offer full and prompt refunds to clients. Should you need to cancel a course due to a positive test or as a result of being asked to self isolate we will also happily offer a full refund.
