Summer Private guiding

PRIVATE GUIDING IN THE SUMMER MOUNTAINS

1+ day - you choose the grade
Guide/Client Ratio; Typically 1:6

Aim

This is where you set the dates and you set the agenda, with our guidance and local knowledge of course!

Outline

Whether you just wish to get out on the hills, or have a specific objective in mind; everything is tailored to meeting your needs. Rather than joining a set course, this is a flexible approach to fit in with your timetable and can be of a duration to suit, from one day to multiple days.

With the serious nature of the Scottish mountains having a private guide can provide you with the freedom to enjoy the experience knowing you are in safe hands. As the day is built around you the client, get in touch and we can discuss your private guiding in the Scottish mountains.

Areas covered

Areas can include anywhere in the Scottish Highlands and Islands including within national parks such as the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park, the Cairngorms National Park or the Lake District National Park.

If you have no idea where to start, get in touch and we can start a conversation to get you the perfect trip arranged. If you have no particular objective in mind, just an area for example, we will book the date in but leave the plan open until a day or two before when the forecast is known and your guide will get in touch and discuss suitable options with you.  With Scotland's ever-changing weather, it pays to be flexible as your guide will always seek to make the best out of the day.

included

  • The services of an experienced and equipped  mountain professional who:
    • has a recognised professional mountain qualification at, or above, the level required for your chosen itinerary
    • is outdoor first aid qualified
    • carries appropriate safety related equipment
  • Guiding up to 6 people per guide, who you will meet at the pre-arranged start point of the walk

Not included

  • Transport; unless arranged as an extra, contact us for a price based on your requirements
  • Accommodation; we can help advise good places or areas to stay based on the itinerary, so get in touch before booking
