Few days out are more rewarding than the Scottish winter which can be spectacularly beautiful and awe-inspiring and harsh and brutal in equal measure. Winter Mountain Days

With Scotland being known as the world's 'snow transport capital' within the snow science community, we have one of the most rapidly changing snowpacks of anywhere which can make it particularly dangerous for the unwary. Our small stature mountains (relatively speaking) belie the potential dangers beneath your feet, and indeed often above your head.
